Spring Break

March 24 - April 2, 2018

Saturday we headed up to Paragonah to spend a few days with my parents. Jordan came with. We had heard about a hike near Kanarraville. We knew that the hike went through water, but it was cold and we only made it about half way.

Grandpa got the horses ready for the kids to ride and they rode around the lot.

That night we went into Cedar City and had some BBQ and went to see the Lara Croft movie.

Sunday

We got up and went to church then later we drove out to the Paragonah Gap to see the Petroglyphs. It was windy and cold so we only lasted a few minutes there.

Nearby, there are dinosaur tracks that we checked out. It was sunnier here so we lasted a lot longer.

Monday

Monday morning the kids drove around town on Grandpas's ATV.

After lunch we went up to Brian Head to play in the snow and do some sledding. We wanted to rent tubes but it was closed so we just used the little sleds we had brought up or just went on our buts. The kids made a snowman and wrestled around in the snow.

After dinner we made s'mores in the backyard and Grandpa told his story about the bear getting his leg.

Tuesday

We spent the morning on target practice outside of town. Grandpa let us each shoot the family heirloom gun which was pretty cool. We headed back to Vegas that afternoon.

Wednesday

We had to be back to Vegas by Wednesday so we could get Cam's wisdom teeth out. She was very happy on the drugs and told a story about how her grandpa is a badass because he looked a hawk in the eye.

Thursday

We had the Tatums over for egg decorating. My kids are more into painting than dying eggs. It's more creative.

Sunday

We watched General Conference and worked on a puzzle of the Millennium Falcon over the weekend.

Jacquelynn, Jeff, and baby Ryan were in town, so we had the whole family over to eat Cafe Rio pork and visit. Even without the other Sokol kids who had stayed with Grandpa and Grandma in Paragonah, the house was crazy and crowded. Lee brought a cake for all the birthdays that month. They forgot someone but the cake was still packed with names.
