Prez Day Weekend

Friday, February 17-Monday, February 20, 2012

Dave left for the Man Trip on Thursday, so Alexis thought Friday night was the perfect time to invite the soccer team over for a sleepover. They ate snacks, watched scary movies and giggled until about 2:00 in the morning.

On Saturday, after the soccer team left, I took Seth and Camryn to see Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. The kids loved it and Camryn said it is her new favorite movie.

That night the Shafer's were having their annual Mardi Gras party. Since my husband was gone, I asked another lady in the ward who's husband is away to go with me. When she cancelled, Alexis asked me to leave the house anyway. She was babysitting the Shafer's kids at our house and thought it would be weird for me to be there. So....I took myself to a movie. I saw This Means War. It was cute enough and had a lot of eye candy in it.

Sunday, I taught Sharing Time and went to visit Grandma Hein. Alexis had church friends spend the night and the family that was in town came over to watch the Season Premiere of Amazing Race. Madison stayed after to watch Sixteen Candles with me - I am a great Aunt, encouraging her to watch an less than appropriate movie with me.

On Monday, I took the kids to the park, then went out with Madison, Jolynn, and Donna. We went to The Thai House for lunch and had very, very spicy Pad Thai.

Then we went to see The Vow. I had pretty low expectations, but I liked that it was inspired by a true story and it had Ben from Felicity in it.

We had a busy weekend. We went back to work more tired than rested.
