Prom 2016

Thursday, March 31, 2016

Brad got a "little" help from me to make a poster to ask Lex to Prom. Beauty and the Beast is her favorite Disney movie so the poster read, "You would be the BELLE of the ball, if you would BE MY GUEST at Prom." She said yes, of course.

Lex talked Chris into doing a Prom photo shoot the day before.  The pictures turned out looking like a magazine spread.

Lex had an early game on the day of prom, but she cleaned up pretty well.  We met Brad and the rest of the group at the St. Rose Cancer Gardens.

The group took a party bus around that night. There were poles on the bus and they did get used.

The group ate at a place that was like Texas de Brazil. After dinner they took the bus to The Luxor.

They rushed through the Shark Reef.  The bus headed to the dance, where the group split. Some in the group went into the dance, while Lex and Beanie went with their dates to the Ventetian to ride the gondalas.

They finished up their date with ice cream and a scarey movie at our house.

Waffles for Wally

Saturday, April 9, 2016

We went to Bo and Abigail's house to celebrate Wally's 1st birthday.  We had some wafflemania, enjoying some delicious dessert waffles.

Wally tried opening his gifts, but needed a little help most times. He is such a cute, sweet, calm baby. We were happy to celebrate with him.

Science Fair

Friday, April 8, 2016

The Math and Science Committee decided to make Science Fair Projects optional this year.  Of course, Seth wanted to do one anyway.  He wanted to find out if the 10 second rule worked.  He found that all the food grew mold, but the longer it was on the ground, the more mold it grew. I was proud of him wanting to go above and beyond what was required.

A Visit from Anna

Thursday, April 7, 2016

Aunt Jacquelynn and Anna came to town for a short visit. They came to see The Killers concert and we got to hang out with them too. We went swimming at the Sokol's time share in the afternoon.

That night we had an adventure on the strip.  We wanted to take the kids to ride the NY NY roller coaster, but we had a hard time finding a place to park for free.  We fnally parked at the Bellagio and checked out the atrium.

Then we took the tram to the NY NY.

We finally got there and got the kids on the ride. Anna loved it! We had to take the tram back making it a late night and a little more of an adventure than I wanted.
