Robbie

I know my family will give me a hard time for posting about someone who is not my kid, but Robbie had a pretty big week and Lex was there to support him in all these big moments.

Robbie had his Eagle Scout Court on Honor.  I offered to make a cake for one of his big upcoming events and he asked me to make this one. I made each Rank Advancement Patch and the Eagle Scout Emblem out of fondant. It took a lot of hand painting and cutting out little details.

The Court of Honor was a nice ceremony and a wonderful way to celebrate all the hard work it took to achieve this accomplishment.

On Monday, Alexis attended Robbie graduation ceremony at the New Orleans Hotel. Chris was there and took a few very cute pictures of these two.

Robbie got his mission call that day too.  It was perfect, so he could open his call with all his family there for the graduation.  He had people over to watch him open his call and had us guess where we thought he would be sent and mark it on a big map.  Seth and I looked up where the shortest people are - Cambodia.  We guessed he would go there because we thought picture of him (Robbie is 6'4) with tiny Cambodians would be funny.

Lex had guessed he would be called somewhere on the East Coast. She was right. Robbie will be serving in the Virginia Richmond Mission.

The Phillies

Spring 2015

Seth was picked up by the Phillies for Spring Little League this year. He played 1st and 3rd base in most games and was a pretty consistent hitter, considering this was his first year playing kid pitch baseball.

Seth pitched the end of the last 2 games.  He threw pretty straight, he just needs a little more power.

The coaches were great and we had an awesome season.

School's Out For Summer

Wednesday, June 3, 2015

We made it through another school year.  Seth got awards for A-B Honor Roll and Good Citizenship. I was able to sneak out of the library for a few minutes to see him receive his certificates.

On the last day Seth took a picture with his awesome 3rd grade teacher, Ms Scott. He also got to take home the class trophy because he had been the Class Leader the most times throughout the year. Being Class Leader was based on getting points for good behavior during the week.

NYC Party

Friday, May 29, 2015

Cam loves New York and decided to have a NY themed party.

The girls kicked things off by making their own I heart NY shirts and eating pizza for dinner,

They changed into their new shirts and we headed down to the New York, New York hotel.

We went across the street to take some pictures of the fake skyline.

Emma, Camryn, Yelanni, Heather Sawyer, and Heather Zach

We checked out all the Statue of Libertys made out of different candies in the Hershey World Store.

Then the girls rode the roller coaster. They waited to ride at the front of the coaster. It took a while.  The numbers were uneven so Camryn rode a 2nd time so Heather S. had someone to ride with.

We headed back to the house to have cake and ice cream

and open gifts.

Then the girls watched an old Mary Kate and Ashley movie called New York Minute. It had one of the guys from the show Supernatural in it - which is Cam's favorite show.

I took some of the girls home after the movie, but Heather Z. and Yelanni stayed the night.

The next morning Camryn was able to go to the temple and do baptisms for the dead for the first time. She loved it and keeps asking to go back. We will have to plan a family day at the temple.
