After 16 years of talking about it and a year of serious planning, we were finally off on our Family Church/US History Trip. We left right after church on Sunday. Alexis went to sleep immediately and I was a little worried that she would sleep right through the next 6,000 miles.
We made a pit stop in Paragonah to see my parents and Lee's kids. They kindly fed us dinner and sent us back on our way. Lex and I spent the rest of the drive testing out the video system in the van, watching girly movies like Pitch Perfect.
We arrived in Sandy around 9:30. The kids woke up long enough to give us a big hug and kiss, then we stayed up to visit with Jac & Jeff for a while.
