January Happenings

Wednesday, January 4, 2017

Seth had been talking about the Ratatouille movie quite a bit and so we looked up what it was and decided to make the dish and watch the movie one night.  It was lots of veggies and some sauce. Tristen and I were the only ones that liked it. It was fun to try something new and Seth did a good job of cutting up all the veggies.

Seth joined the Battle of the Books and used one of the books, Dash, to do his class book project.  He made a replica of the Japanese Internment Camp, Camp Harmony, from the book. The Ferris wheel was pretty impressive.

Lex and Tristen headed back up to school. Lex posts and send a lot of pictures of her in the snow. She is handling the cold better than I expected.

She visits Aunt Jack some weekends and spent MLK weekend in Sandy. They went sledding with the little cousins.

We went to the GVR for midnight breakfast - it has become a tradition that I may not be fond of as I get older and late nights get harder.

We hung out at Sunset park with Bo's family that afternoon.  We played croquet and fed the ducks.

Friday, January 27, 2017

Seth got a Citizenship Award and A/B Honor Roll certificate for his hard work the first semester of 5th grade.

Sunday, January 29, 2017

Dave and I and her siblings went with Sydney when she got her Patriarchal Blessing. It was special to be there with her and I know she has great things ahead of her.

Monday, January 30, 2017

Seth got creative and made this giant domino maze. It went down pretty well, with only 1 or 2 minor stops.
