Boys WIll Be Boys

This week was my brother, Lee's anniversary. He brought his family up from Tucson and his boys stayed with us a few days while he and his wife stayed at a hotel. On Tuesday, I took the kids to the free movies, to see Ice Age. Austin, who is about 17 months old, did not love the theater. Luckily we sat with friends and they helped with the other kids. When Camryn got home from school, we got out the slip n' slide and had the neighborhood kids come over and let everyone get wet.

Wednesday, I took the kids to Mountain's Edge Park. They played on the slides and climbed around for about an hour, then they had snacks and played in the water there. It was pretty cold water and breezy enough that the boys got pretty cold, but had fun. Alexis finally got a little wet herself.

On Thursday, Lee came and took the kids to see the new Karate Kid Movie. When they got to the theater, he saw it was in XD. I guess that means it is like IMAX, or it means the movie will cost you extra dollars. It ended up being a pricey movie for him. I stayed home with Austin, while he napped and got to do a little reading. It was fun to have the cousins here for a few days. Boys are way rougher than I am used to. They spent a lot of time playing things like Star Wars or anything that involved guns and swords. Seth loved it!
