Eagles Soccer

Fall 2016

Lex decided to attend Utah State University Eastern and play on their women's soccer team. She ended up playing defense and did great, even though she has typically played left wing. She even got to be #17.

James (from England) was #17 on the men's team.

Rachel is from Henderson and was a bit of a nemesis of Alexis' when they played in HS, but became a best bud.

Kenadie is from Utah, like most of the team, became a fast friend too.

Lex, Tristan, Rachel, & ?

Fabio, from Italy, is fun despite (or maybe because) his less than perfect English.

Lex in action.

Fabio Day - dress to impress!

Each game started with the National Anthem and calling out the starters.

Lex had a few fans come to watch - the Sokols, the Hills (a few times), and Grandma and Grandpa.

A teammates mom was battling cancer and they had a game when they played for the people they knew that had also battled.

The team has a photographer and you can buy pictures from a site.  This is our favorite!

The team traveled most weekends and got close on the road.

We traveled to Paragoonah Thursday night and got up early the next morning to head to Ephriam to watch Lex's tournament.  The town was tiny but the campus was pretty.  The field were at a separate park.

Lex had an awesome game, sending the ball up when needed and she made a sweet save in the goal.

The team los 1-0, despite Lex's best efforts.

It was a hard loss, but we always love to see our girl play. We had thought to spend the night at Jack's in Sandy, but with no game the next day, we headed back to Paragoonah.

We visited with my parents and the kids played with SnapChat filters.

We went to a new Mexican restaurant in Parawon (it was just ok), before heading home to make it to our ward Trunk-or-Treat the next day.
