Lex went to visit Tristan's family in Bountiful. They had a cold but fun ride.

Grandma Hein had moved into an assisted living home, and I helped clean out the house and found this gem. I took it home so we could use it to play Goblet of Fire. Everyone puts 3 to 5 words in the goblet (we put in a lot of character or people from history names-like Thor or George Washington but it can be anything). You break into teams and play like charades but with 3 rounds. Round 1 - describe the word talking as much as you want. Round 2 - you can only use 1 word to get your team to guess. Round 3 - No words. Just like charades.

The kids went with the YM/YW to the Cedar City Temple Open House on the Friday we had off for Nevada Day. We took Donna and her sister Diane on the day we had off for Veteran's Day. We got stopped around Mesquite, behind an accident and it took and hour longer than expected to get there. We met up with my parents and ate lunch with them at Lupitas. We had a good visit, then went on to the Temple. The Temple was considerably smaller than ours, but decorated beautifully. They were beautifully carved Juniper berries and sego lilies throughout the Temple.

Seth had his drum recital after months of working on his song. He played Don't Stop by The Red HOt Chili Peppers. He sounded awesome.

We were able to Seth to do baptisms for the dead for the first time. It was nice to be there as a family. Seth was able to be the proxy for Whit Merman Sides, Pappy.
