Seth finished up the requirements of his Faith in God Award. He was able to sign the poster just like his big sisters.

Seth decided to have a Fear Factor themed party for his birthday this year, full of gross challenges for him and his friends to do.

Seth's Cake

The first challenge was to eat unlabeled baby food. They got a point for taking a bite and bonus points for guessing correctly what the food was. The kids freaked out over green beans because the color. A few of them didn't even try some of the foods.

The point of the next game was to conquer their fear of bugs. Each kid had 1 minute to reach into the container and pullout rubber bugs one at a time. I had filled the container with live crickets and each time they jumped the boys did too.

The grossest game was the Smoothie Challenge. We put tons of random food out on the counter - chips, yogurt, V8, pickles, mustard and anything else we could think of. Each team got to put 5 foods in the blender and mix it up and the other team had to drink it. The teams got points for each member who drank it.

It time for a relay race. The teams had to put sardines in theirs mouths and run to a bowl and spit the sardines into the bowl. Kristian actually ate one of his!

The messiest game ended up being the slime game. Each team had one person stand in the slime (flour, water, and food coloring) and pick out clothespins with their feet.

The final game was Egg Roulette. The kids all had to take an egg and crack it over their head. All the egg were hard boiled, except for 2. It actually wasn't as messy as I expected it to be.

After all the games, the boys were hungry. We broke from the theme and just had pizza.

Seth opened his presents. He got Legos, gift cards, and money.

Blake, Caden, Joel, Magnus, Kristain, Seth, Cole, Will, Mason, and Judah

We finished up the party with a movie projected outside. The cousins had given Seth the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie, so they watched that. (I thought How to Eat Fried Worms would fit the theme better!)

Fear was not a factor for these boys!
