I volunteered to take the 4th years to camp a day early, since Alexis was in that group, along with Shae, Taylor, and Summer. We met up with all the 4th years in the stake and headed to Zion to hike.
The girls slept a lot on the way up. We stopped at the Maverick in LaVerkin and got shakes. Summer and Taylor tried to watch the premiere on the new 1D video and actually cried when service cut out.
We hiked Weeping Rock, which was very short but steep and took pics under the waterfall.
Then went on the Riverwalk Hike. The girls waded around in the river and took cute pics.
After the hike, we went back to Mavericks to get some supplies then headed into camp just as a down pour began. We drove in through rain, hail, and lightning. The road was so muddy and the van slipped all over the place. The brakes were making a crazy sound that prompted us to pray for safety.
We finally got into camp in time for dinner, then the rain let up for us to put up a few tents and dig some trenches. It got dark and Chris and I hadn't got a tent up so we slept in her car. Lets just say that was pretty close quarters when sleeping with someone who snores!
