Cabin Trip

July 4 - 7, 2012

We told Grandma Hein that we could spend part of July with her at the cabin, so she could get out of the heat.  We drove her up a few days later than planned, due to our unexpected Texas trip, so we got there on the 4th of July.  The fire warnings put a damper on the holiday -with no fireworks over the lake (no one would want the TRUE lake to burn), but we did get to visit with Grandpa & Grandma Jenkins. Alexis stayed in Vegas with Ryan's family and had a more traditional holiday. Chris took this amazing picture of her.

Dave brought his new truck up to ensure the 4 wheel drive features worked properly.

We drove around, hiked, and had a picnic lunch.

Cabin trips usually involve buying ice cream at the store by the lake, but the cold has us opting for hot cocoa on rainy days.

We got Grandma settled in and went back home for a week.
