On Friday, February, 19th, all the kids had the day off for Staff Development Day and we kicked off Camryn's Track Break. We spent the morning at Duck Creek Park, we're trying to get our ward's Park Day going again. Then we spent the afternoon at the movies. The 6th graders wanted to see Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Most of them had read the books (I read it a few years ago - long enough ago that I wouldn't be so critical of the movie). A few of us moms decided to bring our littler kids with us, because it looked a little Harry Pottery. The older kids all sat in the back, too cool for us, and the moms sat with the littler ones. Well, it got a little scary - furies and a very demon-like Hades. One of the other kids had to move right next to his mom and have her cover his eyes when it got scary. Camryn and Seth? DID NOT EVEN FLINCH. My kids must seriously must have nerves of steel. Monday, March 8, 2010
Nerves of Steel
