I was contacted by the Nevada Storytellers Guild, who were looking for some student storytellers to perform at a Storytelling Conference here in Las Vegas. They knew that my school participated in the Bristlecone Storytelling Festival each year and wanted to use some of my students. I had Seth and Megan participate. It was a fun evening. The two students told their stories first. Megan retold "Interrupting Chicken" and Seth retold "The True Story of the Three Little Pigs". the kids did great and they were followed up by Kevin Kling, a professional storyteller. He told funny stories about his life, especially his childhood. It was a nice evening and made me want to participate in more cultural events around town.
