Dave loves to watch Hell's Kitchen. Gordon Ramsey has opened several restaurants in town and Dave wanted to check out Steak, the fancier one. First they had you walk through a tunnel that was supposed to be like the Chunnel. Then you went into the dining area and there was a light fixture hanging from the ceiling that is supposed to look like Ramsey's hand movements in the kitchen. Silly!
They brought around carts of meat and explained the different cuts you could order.
Dave ordered Beef Wellington (that was just OK) and I got Ribs (which was cooked perfectly but had a gross sweet sauce). When you pay that much for a meal, you want it to be amazing and it was not!

I spent my real birthday preparing for Jolynn's baby shower. We wanted to have it while Jacquelynn was in town. Jo wanted to keep it simple so the cake was the only decoration and we stayed clear of playing games. We just talked and Jolynn opened her presents. It was a nice evening and Jolynn got lots of cute things for the baby.
