We had signed up to take a horseback tour around the Gettysburg battlefield, Dave was on Gambler, I was on Ace, Lex rode Chance, Cam was on Gray, and Seth's horse was called Desert Storm.
Our wrangler, John got us set up on our horses and led our group, while our guide, Andi, rode up and down the line giving us Battle info.
We rode the same path that General Lee rode that same day, 151 years ago.
We stopped by this farm (which was there in 1863) and we could see the site of the famous Pickett's charge.
We continued around the Battlefield, to see Little and Big Round Top and learned more of the events of those 3 days of fighting.
The tour was pretty cool and the guide told some great stories. We were sweating pretty bad after the ride, so we went to find a well air conditioned place to eat. Seth picked a baseball themed restaurant called Gettysburg Eddie's. It wasn't great and was very slow. We drove up to Little Big Top after lunch. There was this cool tower where you could over look the fields.
This was truly an awe inspiring place. Seth has been so interested, he has been trying to watch the movie, "Gettysburg".
We drove on to the DC area and Lex and I hung out in the room, while Dave took the littles to see "Earth to Echo".
