One of our favorite things to do when we visit the Sokols, is to spend a day at Lagoon. One of Alexis' best friends moved up to one of the little towns right by the park. I texted Tyti a few months ago to set up her surprising Lex at the park. We had also set up to meet the Peerys there too, so I pretended to be on the phone with them while we were looking for her. All of a sudden she came running and practically jumped on Lex. She was so surprised. The two girls took off and spent the day together. They apparently made a lot of friends waiting in lines and had a great time together.
We also found the Peerys and Seth was especially excited to spend the day with Mason.
We met up with Jeff just a little after getting there, so we had plenty of grownups We could split up if the kids wanted to go on different rides. Dave and I took a break when the kids wanted to go on the Mousetrap ride.
Everyone loved the Spider.
Jeff totally pressured Anna to go on Wicked, but she wasn't ready for it. Cam went on it 3 times!
After a late lunch we went on the water rides and got totally soaked.
We spent some time at Lagoon-A Beach. They played in the water, while I read a book. We spent the evening riding more rides. We hit all the rides we thought wouldn't make us throw up.
We went to the Rock Show. Usually they have a lot of dancing and showtunes, but this time they just sang a bunch of songs the kids didn't know. Avery took a little nap.
After the show, Seth really tried to win a prize at one of the carnival games, but just could get it. Dave took off to get some extra sleep before the next day's drive, but we kept going until the park shut down.
It was sad for everyone to say goodbye to our far away friends on our way out of the park. We were so wore out from all that fun, there was a lot of sleeping in the car back to the cousin's house.
