Popping into Price, UT

Thursday, September 29-Sunday, October 2, 2016

We decided to take a day off work and visit Lex in Price. Conference weeknd seemed like the perfect time.  We drove up to Paragoonah on Thursday night.  We brought back an old tradition Dave and I used to have of eating a pizza in the car on the way.

We left plenty early on Fridayday to make the mid-day game, but on the way there, Lex let us know the game got pushed up and hour and we hit construction. We ended up being 10 or 15 minutes late, but Lex wasn't in yet, so it was fine.  She only played the last minute of the first half, but then palyed the rest of the game. They lost 1-0 in overtime.

We stayed and watched the boys play then went out to eat. Lex needed new cleats, so we checked out Big 5. Cam and Seth found boxing gloves and had a little bout in the store.

We didn't find anything at Big 5, but the kids wanted a picture in the giant lawn chair.

Lex decided to show us the sights arounf Price. She had us hike up to the eagle.  The team often runs up to it. It was a little dark for a hike, but we managed.

We did get a little off the path on the way back, but after a few minutes we figured it out.

We also went to the park near the cemetary. The playground was shaped like a big castle, that had dinosaurs, which was a bit weird. Cam fell and Seth got stuck in a swing.  We dropped Lex back at her dorm, so she could get a good night's rest for Saturday's game.

Lex palyed the whole game on Saturday. They tied 0-0 with 2 overtimes.

We watched a little of the boys' game, but it ended up getting called because of the weather. We went out to a late lunch instead. After lunch, we headed back to Paragoonah and spent another night there.

Sunday morning we watched Conference with Grandpa and Grandma and joined them for Grandpa's birthday dinner. We had brought back a Razzlebery Pie, one of Grandpa's favorites for his birthday dessert.

It was a fun weekend, having the kids see where Lex lives and getting to see her play. It also worked out perfect to be able celebrate with Grandpa.
