After a week of Intramurals and 3 days of Try-outs, the Silverado Soccer teams were announced. Alexis was one of the few Freshman to make JV. I am so proud of her and how much she has developed her skills in the past year. She has been lucky to have her Uncle Ryan coaching her on the LV Galaxy to prepare her for these tryouts and playing HS Soccer.

1st Day
Monday, August 27, 2012
We all headed back to school. Alexis started High School at Silverado. We liked all but one of her teachers - she has 8 classes, so that is pretty good. She is taking Spanish, Guitar, Math, Biology, English, P.E. and Freshman Studies. She is trying out for soccer this week and has a great Seminary teacher, Sis. Taylor.
Camryn in in 4th Grade.
Her teacher is Mr. Suckow.
Seth is in 1st Grade.
He has Mrs. Janeksela this year.
Seth and Camryn are going to Fong, where I am the librarian again this year. I am excited to be back and enjoy all the hard work I did getting the library back in shape. Dave is a Computer Specialist at Del Webb Middel School. He is especially busy at the beginning of the year.

Oh, What Do You Do in the Summertime?
Summer 2012
We were gone so much this summer, but when we were in town we spent time with our friends.
We went to the Summer Movies at the Colonnade theater for $1/person. They showed movies that were a little older, but we saw a few we had never seen - Chimpanzee (a Disnety Nature film that showed the chimps attack and eat a monkey!) and Arthur Christmas (which was a cute holiday movie we really liked). We almost always took a few friends and we always brought lots of treats.
We went to Flippin' Out one afternoon with the Peerys and the Shafers. It was a huge trampoline place. It was pretty fun for the kids to jump, and it was nice for me to chat with the moms.
We played Wii a lot. I tried to get the kids to play more active games, like Wii Fit and Just Dance. Here are the kids Just Dancin' with the Driscols, who came to play while the moms went to lunch group at Bachi Burger.
We also swam quite a bit. We were able to "watch" the neighbors pool for a while, so we could swim all we wanted. The McCrackens in our ward, were nice enough to open their pool twice a week all summer also, so we swan there a few times too. The kids love to be in the water,
We had a busy summer and I was kinda ready to get back to a schedule when school came.

Curiouser and Curiouser
Saturday, August 4, 2012
Camryn had her fall performance for Hollywood Kids. They put on Alice in Wonderland, Jr.
Camryn was The Rose. The flowers were a group of Mean Girls, who gave Alice a hard time when she came to the garden. Camyrn hammed it up.
I am so proud of Camryn for making this audition only class this year. She loves acting and is looking forward to trying out for The Little Mermaid this fall.
Adventuredome
Thursday, August 16, 2012
We had 2-for-1 tickets to the Circus Circus Adventuredome. We got an all day pass, but we only lasted about 3 hours. We rode the big roller coaster several times, but we could not get Seth to go on it. The Frog Hopper was more his style.
Seth was tall enough to ride everything, but maybe not brave enough.
The whole family went on a little Ferris wheel together.
I must be getting too old for this, because the spinning rides made me feel a little sick. After we left the Dome, we went to Macayos for a late lunch. I'm not sure that the rides and Mexican food was a good combination!

Fun & Games
Friday, July 27, 2012
After our long day at Lagoon we wanted to take things a little easy. We stopped by Jac's park day for a little while, then went to lunch at MoBetta, a Hawaiian place. The sauce was amazing. Then we went to Fat Cats for $1 bowling and Mini Golf.
Seth and I actually beat Dave in Bowling, which is crazy because he lettered in bowling in high school. It would be like me beating Alexis in soccer. He claims that he lost because he did not have his ball and shoes. Likely story!
We also played a round of Pirate themed Glow in the Dark MiniGolf.
After going to a little Mexican restaurant for dinner with the Sokols, we headed to the Real Salt Lake game. We thought the kids would enjoy the crazy fans, but Camryn was so mad that we didn't take Anna that she pouted through most of the game. Camryn always has a hard time leaving Anna when we visit each other, and we knew that she would probably be asleep when we got back from the game and we had to leave early the next day.
We had to pick up the triplets at 7:00 am on Saturday. They chattered all morning about what a great time they had at EFY. We stopped to eat in Panguitch and had one of the most disgusting meals ever. We headed up to the cabin to pick up Grandma and clean a bit before going home.
It was great to get home. 2 weeks is a little long for me to be away.

Lagoon
Thursday, July 26, 2012
Thursday was our day to spend at Lagoon, which my kids love more than Disneyland. We got there early,
hit Anna's favorite ride The Bat,
then spent the rest of the morning at Lagoon Beach (the water section of the park).
After the water park, we watched a musical show the started on the rides. Jeff met up with us after he got off work.
Seth's favorite was this Coaster. He was tall enough and brave enough to go on all but 3 of the rides, including a few roller coasters.
Camryn loves scary rides and even went on the Rocket, which is a huge drop with Uncle Jeff.
We were able to go on most of the rides. It was a very hot day, but we kept going.
Whenever we had to wait Camryn would just plop down on the ground to save her strength for the rides. We went to another show at night, that featured pop music, and kept on riding until the park was about ready to close. It was a fun day, but so very hot!
