Labor Day

September 4-7, 2015

It had been so long since we had made it to the cabin, we excited to be able to head up for the weekend.  Lee brought his kids and Bo's family came up too.  We brought Lex's friend, Andrea, with us as well, so we had a full house.

We stopped in St. George for dinner.

We were the last to make it to the cabin.  Seth had gone up with Lee and the kids had been working on a talent show.  The talents were pretty sketchy (like making toys fight each other). Seth did a pretty good magic trick though.

On Saturday, Grandpa and Grandma came up and we made Lex's favorite- chocolate chip pancakes, for her Adoption Day. The kids spent most of the day on the ATV's. They had so much fun driving around.

I mostly hung out inside chatting and I got to hang out with Wally. He is such a good baby.

The kids made this cool fort. We hiked up the hill behind the cabin to see the fort and take some pictures.

While I was up the hill, I saw Cam walking back to the cabin, crying. I saw that she had crashed the ATV. I went with Bo to check out the damage.  It was totally flipped over, but Bo was able to get it up and working.  Cam was okay, just sore for a few days. Dave took the little ones fishing for a little while, we had dinner and then made S'Mores. We tried to tell scary stories, but we really aren't very scary.

Grandma and Grandpa went back to their house, and we played Oh Hell while the kids watch a movie.

We went to the earlier sacrament, the next day. We stopped by the store, so Andrea could call her parents and we saw Alan Ewell - so random!

After lunch, Austen polished off the Chocolate Cherry Cake I had made the night before. Lee's family headed back to Vegas that afternoon and Bo's family went to spend the night in Paragoonah.

Lex and Andrea had a little photo shoot.

We walked over to the Marshall's after dinner. Lex and Andrea hung out in the clubhouse, while Seth and I attempted to play horseshoes.  We were terrible.

The next morning, we cleaned the cabin and headed down to Paragoonah to ride Grandpa's new horses, Cleo and Boone.

Even Wally got on and we took a picture, like the one we had taken of Bo at that age.

We all headed over to the fair to ride a few rides.

We made a stop at Brad/s Food Hut for lunch and headed home. I hope we can make it back up to the cabin more. It is so good to get away.

Scout Ora Tatum

Thursday, September 3, 2015

The kids were excited to meet their new cousin. After Lex's game we headed over to the hospital to see Scout.

She was pretty big (or at least a bit bigger than my babies) and so stinkin' cute.  Jolynn and baby were both doing great. We love our big, crazy family and it's always fun when there is a new addition.

Asked and Answered HC 2015

Monday, August 24, 2015

Homecoming was very early this year, but whenever it was mentioned Lex said she didn't want to be asked until school started. Well, on the 1st day of school we walked out to take school pictures and found Ryan Pappas waiting for Lex.

He had the cutest poster I've ever seen and purple daisies.

The sign was a play on an old credit card commercial. Lex, of course, said yes but she wanted to do a cute answer back.

We went to the Pappas house before seminary one morning and Lex decorated his truck

with a new credit card slogan.

She had gotten Ryan's brother, Andrew to put this little fake credit card in his wallet. It looked like a real credit card on one said and just said YES! on the other side.
